How to Configure Repeat prescription settings and online payments

This help guide explains how to configure repeat prescription settings using Rule A and set up online payments. It’s useful when you want patients to request prescriptions from any provider at active locations. You’ll learn how to enable collection options, set service fees, configure patient email notifications, and activate online payment options. By following these steps, you can ensure repeat prescriptions are processed smoothly and payment flexibility is available.

Steps:

  1. Go to “Setup Modules” and select “Repeat Prescriptions”, then click “EDIT” to modify the settings. 
  2. Enable “Apply rules based on the patient’s default provider” and select “Rule A” to allow unrestricted prescription requests to any provider at active locations. 
  3. Update the Description field to explain the service, enable “Patient to Collect Script”, and make “Reason for repeat script” mandatory. 
  4. Enter fees for urgent/same-day and 48-hour prescription services for: 
  5. Standard patients 
  6. Community Services Card holders 
  7. High Use Health Card holders 
  8. Add a message to appear in the patient’s email once a script is processed. Review the email layout to confirm its placement. 
  9. Turn on “Send script to pharmacy” so patients can select a preferred pharmacy. 
  10. Allow both “Pay at Health Centre” and “Pay Online” as payment methods. 
  11. Click “SAVE” to apply and confirm the changes. A message will confirm successful setup. 
  12. Go to “Setup Online Payments”> “Payments”. 
  13. If no merchant account exists, complete the Windcave form and contact [email protected]. 
  14. If a merchant account exists, proceed to “Online Payment Settings”, click “EDIT”, and enable online payments for repeat prescriptions. 
  15. Add Terms and Conditions, click “SAVE”, and confirm online payment setup. Patients will now see the “Pay Online” option.
