• Online Payments for Alex Appointments: Real-time online payments are now supported for appointments booked via the ALEX API. Payment data is accurately synced to the Practice Management System. This feature will be available from Evolution V8.0.
• Enhanced Doctor and Location Search: Casual patients using Self Check-In can now search for doctors and practice locations via an intuitive interface.
• Editable Default Provider Setting: Practice administrators can directly set or modify the default provider for Self Check-In through the portal, removing the need for backend assistance.
• Appointment Type Visibility Control: Clinics now have full control over which appointment types (e.g., Visit, Video, Phone) are shown to patients.
• Improved Video Consultation Templates: Confirmation and reminder messages for video appointments now include the correct “Join Video” link and maintain consistent content across all booking methods, ensuring a smoother patient experience.
• NHI Number Display for Providers: Providers can view patients’ NHI numbers in the appointment and video consultation tabs.
• Better Visibility of Alternative Providers: Alternative providers are now clearly listed below the appointment slot selection area, offering patients greater clarity on available options.
• Customisable Self Check-In Completion Message: Clinics can now configure a custom message card that appears on the Self Check-In completion screen.
• Hide Payment Details for Zero-Fee Appointments: For Mahitahi, appointments marked as free no longer display any payment prompts or labels.
• Seek My Health: Seek My Health has implemented SEO-focused enhancements to its URL structure across articles, categories, sub-categories, landing pages, search results, and static pages.

      Key enhancements:

• Real-Time SEHR Integration with Indici (IndiciShare FHIR API): SEHR now integrates directly with Indici’s IndiciShare FHIR API, enabling real-time, read-only access to patient records for Hawke’s Bay practices that have migrated to Indici.
• Concerto Integration for Secondary Care Clinicians: SEHR is now integrated with Concerto, enabling hospital-based (secondary care) clinicians to securely access Indici-sourced patient data alongside existing SEHR records from Medtech and MyPractice.
• AI-Driven Conversational Support:
  • Replaces static FAQs with an AI chatbot for both pre- and post-login users.
  • Provides contextual assistance, personalised account information, and allows unresolved queries to be escalated to human support with chat history.
• Notification Centre Upgrade: A new badge on the notification bell displays the number of new activities since the user’s last login (up to 20).
• Email Verification Reminders: Automated email reminders are sent to patients who have not verified PMS-updated email addresses within 7 days.
• Password Change Workflow:
  • An improved password update process encourages users to change passwords after a set timeframe (e.g., 90 days).
  • Includes options to “Skip” or “Change Now”; after three skips, a password change is enforced.
  • Change process includes OTP verification. Admins can enforce password changes for specific users or practices.
• Duplicate Profile Activation:
  • When patients are re-registered in the PMS with the same personal details (name, date of birth, email), their account is automatically reactivated.
  • This reduces manual steps for returning patients and ensures seamless access to care.

      Key enhancements:

• RRP Pricing for Patients Under 14: Practices can now configure pricing for Repeat Prescription Requests (RRP) for patients under 14 years of age, who were previously exempt.
• Merge Fields in Group Email Messages: Admin users can now insert merge fields in group email messages to personalise communications.
• Alex Health Records Enhancements: Expanded health record access via Medtech’s ALEX API, including Immunisation Outcomes, Northland Lab Results, Timeout Adjustments, & Bug Fixes.
• Default Location Selection for Secure Messaging: The system now auto-selects the patient’s default location (based on primary GP setting in PMS), reducing errors and support queries.
• Auto Provider Selection for Appointments: When only one provider is available, the system will auto-select it to simplify the booking process.
• Referral Hub: A one-off development for Connected Care referral providers on the web and responsive screens.
• BIST Form Update: Removed Questions 5 and 8, and simplified referral messaging based on thresholds.
• Connected Services: New Connected Services tile for Care HQ.

      Key enhancements:

• Contact Support Enhancements: Streamlined support process using a dynamic, contextual support flow, accessible in both pre-login (public) and post-login environments, to guide users efficiently based on their context.
• Notification Centre: Introduces an in-portal notification system to enhance patient engagement. Patients can now view and manage alerts directly from within the MMH portal.
• Remove Health Centre Feature: Patients can now manually remove health centres they are no longer associated with, giving them more control over their linked care providers.
• Appointment Cancellation Notification: When appointments are cancelled via the Medtech PMS, the system now automatically sends an email notification to the patient with appointment details and a link to reschedule.
• Request Repeat Prescriptions Messaging: Pending repeat prescription requests now display a clear message indicating that the request cannot be amended, along with guidance to submit a new prescription request if changes are needed.
• Messaging for Suspended or Transferred Patients: Provides clear and informative messages to patients whose accounts are suspended or transferred, ensuring transparency and reducing confusion.
• Close Account – Enhanced Workflow: For users who initiate account closure, a new login prompt now appears during the 72-hour grace period. It informs them that logging in may cancel the closure request by default and offers clear options to either proceed with or cancel the account closure.

      Key enhancements:

• Real-Time Health Records via Medtech ALEX: Lab results and Clinician notes are now delivered in real time through the Medtech ALEX API. By integrating with ALEX APIs, the system significantly reduces data synchronization delays and minimizes the need for local storage. This enhancement ensures patients receive the most up-to-date information while improving operational efficiency and reducing infrastructure overhead for healthcare providers.

      Other Minor changes & Improvements:

• Account Activation & email verification in Sign-up: Clearer messaging now appears for users who have registered but have not completed account activation or email verification.
• Self-Check-In: The Help button has been removed from the non-portal self-check-in screens to reduce navigation interference.
• Connected Services: The Women’s Refuge tile now redirects to the updated URL.
• Connected Services: Plunket has been added as a new service vendor.
